On August 13, 2025, the Mayor of the Municipality of Kozarska Dubica, Igor Savković, hosted a meeting with the Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Marko Kubatlija, and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of North Macedonia, Dragan Jaćimović. The President of the Municipal Assembly, Miloš Banjac, also attended the meeting.
The central topic of discussion was the “Lipova Greda” business zone, alongside a presentation of the investment potentials of the municipality of Kozarska Dubica. Director Kubatlija emphasized that this was the first in a series of planned meetings aimed at encouraging foreign investments in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He praised the work of the municipal administration and the excellent cooperation with the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in North Macedonia.
Mayor Savković highlighted that attracting foreign investors is one of the municipality’s top priorities and stated that Kozarska Dubica actively supports potential investors. He pointed out that the arrival of investors and the creation of new jobs are key goals of the local administration and emphasized the municipality’s commitment to providing optimal conditions and being a reliable partner and good host.
Savković also underlined the strategic position of the business zone, its connection to major highways, and the proximity of two border crossings, all of which significantly enhance its investment appeal.
The Lipova Greda business zone is located in the settlement of Draksenić, along the Kozarska Dubica – Gradiška main road, and is approximately 10 kilometers from the Donja Gradina – Jasenovac border crossing. The Zagreb – Belgrade highway is just 20 kilometers away, linking the zone with major regional centers such as Zagreb, Belgrade, and Ljubljana. An additional advantage is the nearby Sava River, which enables navigable access to European markets.
