The municipality of Laktaši is the first in the ranking list of Financial Times of the most desirable small towns in Europe for 2022/2023

In а special report of the eminent “Financial Times” magazine ‘’European Cities and Regions of the Future 2022/23” the municipality of Laktaši was declared the most desirable small town for investment in Europe. The municipality of Laktaši has continuously been on the list of 10 micro-European cities of the future for 2022/2023 when it comes to cost-efficiency.

As many as 356 cities were assessed and grouped by population size into five: major, large, mid-sized, small and micro cities. They were ranked based on data collected across five subcategories: economic potential, business friendliness, connectivity, human capital and lifestyle, and cost-effectiveness.

Every two years, this prestigious magazine announces a competition for the “European Cities and Regions for the Future” award. The prestigious award received by the municipality of Laktaši is awarded every two years to the most attractive investment destinations in Europe.

Municipalities send their applications via the fDi Intelligence website (https://www.fdiintelligence.com/ ). Placement on the list of top investment destinations in Southeast Europe in the following categories directly depends on the quality and creativity of municipal responses, in terms of content and language: economic potential, cost efficiency, infrastructure, favourable business conditions, working environment and strategy for promoting foreign investments.

In addition, Gradiška, Zvornik, Trebinje and Laktaši were recognized in the categories for top 10 micro cities with the best FDI strategies.
