The Republic of Srpska is ready to offer good conditions to investors from the diaspora, ie people from Srpska who have been realized as businessmen abroad, said the Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić yesterday on Jahorina.
Before holding a round table on “Strengthening the cooperation of the Republic of Srpska institutions with civil society organizations and communities from the diaspora”, Klokić told reporters that the relevant ministry had adopted a strategic framework for cooperation with the diaspora.
He explained that a certain action plan has been adopted, as well as that the strategy is divided into several segments, ie it has several goals, among other things, strengthening economic cooperation with the diaspora.
– Our goal is to show our businessmen in the diaspora that businessmen from the Republic of Srpska can also respond to the demands of the European market – said Klokić.
According to him, the Ministry supported civil societies from the diaspora, so in 2018, in cooperation with the office of the President of the Republic of Srpska, a Diaspora Forum was held, and the European Folklore Festival in Banja Luka was also supported.
– We are aware of the importance of the Ministry having good cooperation with civil society, especially with those from the diaspora – Klokić pointed out, adding that the relevant ministry organized a large number of meetings and forums on cooperation between businessmen of the Republic of Srpska and the diaspora.
He stated that the forums were organized in Prijedor, Doboj, and other cities of the Republic of Srpska, where certain deals were agreed with businessmen from the diaspora.
Klokić pointed out that in the past period, the Republic of Srpska representative offices abroad organized round tables, where businessmen from Srpska presented their potentials.
– In addition to all these activities, in the next period we will try to promote the Republic of Srpska in the best light – the Minister for European Integration of Srpska pointed out.
