Prijedor: “Bosancar” plans to produce wagons

Yesterday, November 11, in Prijedor, the Deputy Mayor of Prijedor, Žarko Kovačević, and the Italian investor Giuseppe Franki signed an agreement on the purchase of land for the purpose of the investment that will be realized in the new industrial zone, Aerodrom 4.

Kovačević stated that the City has undertaken the obligation to invest in infrastructure in the next six months, that this is the first investment of Bosancar and that he hopes that there will be more of them soon.

– This may be a historic day. This agreement may change the business image of Prijedor. I especially thank the guests from Italy for having a business policy that is in favor of BiH and the Republic of Srpska. We hope that other foreign investors will think the same, come to us, and not to take our workers to other countries – Kovačević said at the press conference after signing the agreement.

The owner of the Bosancar company, Giuseppe Franki, said that he made his first investment in BiH in 2004 in Bosanska Krupa, where he has a plant of 17,000 m2 and where he has invested more than 24 million BAM.

Acting director of the Agency for Economic Development of the City of Prijedor PREDA-PD, Aleksandar Drljača, stated that the joint efforts can develop the business of this investor to unimaginable limits.

– The plan of the Italian investor is to employ 300 workers in the next four to five years, and the average salary of his workers in Bosanska Krupa is between 1,500 and 2,000 BAM. I really have no doubt that a large number of workers who want to ensure their existence in Prijedor will be at his door tomorrow – said Drljača.

The Bosancar company is engaged in the production of cabins for agricultural machines, trucks, industrial vehicles. In Prijedor, the intention is to produce train wagons.
