Mahle Electric Drives Bosnia expanding capacities in the business zone Aleksandrovac 2

The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, Vjekoslav Petričević, held a meeting last week in Banja Luka with the manager of the plant of the Mahle Electric Drives Bosnia factory in Laktaši, Pavel Lah.

Lah introduced Petričević to the business of a company that owns a factory for the production of parts for the automotive industry in the Laktaši area. He presented the company’s ambitious plans to expand its capacities in the coming period and employ an additional number of workers in the new modern plant within the business zone Aleksandrovac 2, it was announced on the website of the Ministry.

Minister Petričević pointed out the readiness of the Ministry to support productive economic entities in the field of electrical and mechanical industry and introduced Lah to the current public call for the procurement of modern technologies and equipment, development and innovation for which 12 million BAM is intended this year.

As a stimulative measure, Petričević pointed out the support regarding the payment of incentives to economic entities that increased salaries to workers and added that changes were being made to the Law on Incentives in the Economy of the Republic of Srpska, which would support the creation of more well-paid jobs.

The meeting was also attended by the Assistant Minister for Economic Cooperation in the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, Slobodanka Dubravac, and the interlocutors also discussed the current situation and business challenges during the Coronavirus pandemic and global events.
