An Italian investor bought the building of the former Mehanika for approximately 1.5 million BAM. It is a serious company whose representatives we talked to and this company also operates successfully in Italy. The investors are in the phase of drafting the project documentation and the plan is for the building to be finished by the end of the year and the production process to begin – specified Reljić.

He stated that this is a company from the metal processing sector that is export-oriented and that it was announced that the investor would invest another million Bosnian Marks in the facility, as stated on the municipal website.

Reljić stated that in the first phase of production, 25 to 30 workers are expected to be employed and that the municipal Department for Economy, Investments and Development is already collecting data on the necessary worker profiles.

He emphasized that the purchase of the business building of the former Mehanika is the result of long-term efforts of the Department for Economy, Investments and Development led by the head of the Department, Emir Kočan, who was in direct contact with Italian investors.

In terms of attracting investments, the municipality of Kozarska Dubica has always been a good host. This is a positive story for our environment because 25 to 30 new workers will be employed, and even more in the future – said Reljić.

He confirmed that the investment in Kozarska Dubica was recently abandoned by a German investor who produces parts for the aviation industry, due to the problems caused by the war in Ukraine and the consequences for economic developments, but other investors are also interested in investing in the area of the municipality.
