Republic Agency for Development Small and Medium Enterprises participated in a worldwide campaign to strengthen the entrepreneurial awareness among young people – Global Entrepreneurship Week.
For one week, millions of young people around the world join a growing movement of entrepreneurial people, to generate new ideas and to seek better ways of doing things. Countries across six continents come together to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative to:
Inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity,
Think big,
Turn their ideas into reality,
Make their mark.
Global Entrepreneurship Week connects young people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, non-profit leaders, government officials and many others participated in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face, and from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings.
Global Entrepreneurship Week seeks to:
Inspire. We introduce entrepreneurship to young people under the age of 30 who otherwise might not have considered it as a career path.
Connect. We network young people across national boundaries to discover new ideas at the intersection of cultures and disciplines.
Mentor. We enlist active and inspirational entrepreneurs around the world to coach and mentor the next generation of enterprise talent as they pursue their dreams.
Engage. We demonstrate to opinion leaders and policymakers how entrepreneurship is central to a nation’s economic health and culture, and we give nations the opportunity to learn about each other’s entrepreneurial policies and practices.
Achieve all four, and we change the world.
Through this initiative, the next generation of entrepreneurs is inspired and can emerge. In doing so, they will begin to acquire the knowledge, skills and networks needed to grow innovative, sustainable enterprises that have a positive impact on their lives, their families and communities.
The Week is a time to embrace innovation, imagination, and creativity and create solutions with immediate and lasting impacts. There are no geographic or socioeconomic boundaries. Anyone can participate:
• Universities and schools, civic and nonprofit organizations, large corporations, micro businesses—become a partner
• Government, thought leaders, and influencers—support a partner
• Aspiring entrepreneurs—share your expertise and connect with the next generation of entrepreneurs
• High school and college students—participate and power the future
No matter where you fall on the entrepreneurial spectrum—from celebrity entrepreneur to curious student—this Week is for you.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is a combination of two successful initiatives, United States of America Entrepreneurship Week and United Kingdom Enterprise Week.
