Project clustering of the Adriatic-Danube region (Adriatic-Danubian Clustering)
Republic Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises has
signed, in early December 2009. The agreement with the European
Commission Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the project
Adriatic-Danubian Clustering (ADC).
The project was financed by the
South East European Space Programme 2007-2013. The leader of the project
is from the Veneto region of Italy, and the Republic Agency for
Development of Small and Medium Enterprises is the sole partner on
behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project involved 13 partners from
nine countries: Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Romania and Slovenia, which
are members of the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatian,
Montenegro and Serbia.
The overall project objective is to strengthen the territorial
marketing of the Adriatic-Danube area compared to other regions in order
to boost local economies and their resources, creating sectoral
connections suitable for the development of international supplier
chains and strengthen the attractiveness for foreign investment.
The
expected end result is the establishment of the Adriatic-Danube,
successful and connected networks, as a means for the promotion of
sectoral value chains (extended international clusters) that work in
real-regional production system in Southeastern Europe.
Specific objectives are:
- Identification of significant international supply chain, their relationships and strategies between companies
- The growth of vertical links between enterprises of the Adriatic-Danube area for a full exploitation of sectoral opportunities and their international connections,
- Creation of DBE (Digital Business Environment) network to improve the entrepreneurial environment for the benefit of all involved companies, providing essential for success in international business associations and the accompanying risk equivalent of the local production system,
- Development capacities of territorial marketing to identify the attractiveness of the Adriatic-Danube area as a competitive regional production system in the global economy.
Objectives ADC implementation project in Bosnia and Herzegovina are creating a better business environment, promote foreign investment and cross-border cooperation of SMEs, clustering and promotion of small and medium enterprises from the Republic of Serbian abroad.
The project will last 30 months.
