Republic Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises was established in accordance with the Law on Promotion of small and medium enterprises, and began its work in September 2004. year. It acts as a legal entity and a non-profit organizations.
The Agency is supporting the establishment and development of small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship in the Republic of Srpska and generating a whole support system of small and medium enterprises.
The main objectives of the work of the Agency are to increase participation of small and medium enterprises in the overall economy of the Republic of Serbian, changing the structure of the business through increasing the participation of productive activities and services in the total domestic product, increased technological development, competitiveness and open new markets for small and medium enterprises, increasing the number of businesses and workers employed in these companies and the establishment of regional cooperation with neighboring countries to exchange experiences and implementation of regional comparative advantage in entrepreneurship.
The Agency has a duty to prepare strategic documents for small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska operative implement incentive policies encouraging employment, vocational training, retraining and additional training of workers, establish and encourage two way communication small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs and their associations with the Government of the RS and other institutions at the level of RS and BiH, to encourage the creation and development of local development agencies and local centers for business, assist and coordinate the development of a network of local development agencies and to encourage inter-municipal projects, promoting entrepreneurship and support инноватион activities, organizes, collects and processes of legal and other information of interest to small and medium enterprises, establish a unified information system of statistical data and information relevant to small and medium enterprises, to participate in international projects and their implementations, to support initiatives in the private sector and broader experience best practices at all levels.
The successful achievement of the objectives and tasks of the Agency is provided through collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Srpska, local development agencies, funds, chambers and business associations, universities, commercial banks, international financial institutions and small and medium enterprises.
